Dewberry, a privately-held professional services firm, announced that civil engineering alumnus Jeffrey Wing, B.S. ’86, has joined the firm as the water/wastewater market segment leader for the Raleigh, North Carolina, office.

1991

Learning Resource Center coordinator at the Kachemak Bay Campus and public school administration alumna Caroline Venuti, M.Ed. ’91, was honored with the annual Staff Make Students Count award from the University of Alaska Board of Regents.

Congratulations to English alumnus Dr. P. Wesley Lundburg, B.A. ’92, M.A. ’94, who was named new president of San Diego Miramar College.

Co-founder and president of Signature Land Services Jennifer Schrage, B.A. ’93, received the UAA Journalism and Public Communications Alumni Award.

The Central Council of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska announced the hiring of political science alumnus Roald Helgesen, B.A. ’94, as chief operating officer.

2002

Human services alumna Heather Harris, A.A. ’02, A.A.S. ’03, B.H.S. ’04, was appointed as the new director of the Anchorage Health Department.

History alumna Tasha Nichols, B.A. ’19, was promoted to human resources manager at First National Bank Alaska.

2010

Engineering alumnus Dan Hart has taken over as general manager for Alaska, Hawaii and Guam at Siemens. He has been with the company for 14 years, most recently serving as service operations manager.

2011

The Mat-Su Health Foundation announced that psychology alumna Jessie Burbank, B.A. ’11, has joined the Connect Mat-Su team in the role of community resource specialist.

2016

Oklahoma City Community College announced the hiring of Samantha Olah, M.B.A. ’16, as the college’s new bursar.

2019

PND Engineers announced the hiring of civil engineering alumnus Tanner Stephens, B.S. ’19. He joined PND’s civil team in Anchorage following a year as a project engineer with the Alaska Department of Natural Resources Office of Design and Construction.
