From the Chancellor

Each year, UAA gets stronger and better, and this fall’s optimism and vibrancy are palpable. We are seeing increased enrollment, nearly full occupancy of our Anchorage and Valdez resident halls, full parking lots and increased community support and engagement across UAA’s six campuses.

We continue building momentum through UAA 2027, focusing on student success and meeting their needs, whether through a traditional four-year baccalaureate degree or offering those with an established career looking for a step up or to pivot with a different degree or certificate.

While we provide excellent classroom learning, remote learning has become more popular since the pandemic and opened our doors to many students in Alaska and beyond. In addition to creating more accessible avenues to education, UAA remains an affordable, high-quality option.

UAA is strong because of our people. I am inspired daily by the work of our faculty and staff and their commitment to our students and community. Our UAA community members put students first and clear paths of opportunity for them.

As alumni, I hope you will continue to come to campus as an engaged community member, a partner in education or a lifelong learner. We are thankful for your journey at UAA and for the positive impact you are making.

With Green and Gold Spirit,
