From an Alumnus
That responsibility is already at the heart of the Seawolf experience. In classrooms and labs, our students are turning curiosity into action. They’re building the skills to balance innovation with ethics, and creativity with accountability. These aren’t just academic exercises, they’re lessons in how to meet the future with both wisdom and skill.
As a proud two-time UAA alum, I see that same spirit of purpose and innovation reflected in our students today. The Seawolf experience has always been about more than earning a degree, it’s about using what we learn to build stronger communities and a better future.
As alumni, we share in that responsibility. Our communities look to us not only for leadership and knowledge, but for the example of how to use our education for the greater good. UAA has always been a place where innovation is grounded in resilience and where progress is matched with purpose.
In this issue, you’ll read how Seawolves are embracing innovation with both ambition and care. I hope you find inspiration in these examples, and take a moment to reflect on the ways you, too, are helping shape a future that’s not only smarter, but more responsible.
